Use tags to categorize your projects, tasks, users, and clients, make it easier to find them in search, build filters for them, or simply identify them in overviews.
Add new tags
For the objects task, project, user and customer it is possible to add tags in awork. You will find this either on the respective detail page just below the name or in the respective edit window.
The tag window opens. In the input field, new tags can be entered and confirmed with the Enter key. The tags can also contain spaces.
☝️Hint: You can also add several tags at once by separating them with a comma "," and then confirming with Enter.
Above the input field, you will see the already selected tags. By clicking on the X button, these tags can be removed again.
Suggestions of already used tags
For each group of objects (task, project, user, and customer), awork creates its own tag pool of already used tags. The pools are different because mostly very different tags are used for the different types of objects. For example, for users' skills, for customers' importance, etc.
The respective tag pool is displayed in the lower area when adding tags.
By clicking on one of the tags from the pool, it will be added directly.
While entering a tag in the input field, the pool is filtered so that it is possible to search for tags in the pool as well.
☝️ Note: The pool of private and project tasks is also separated. Your used tags for private tasks will only be seen by you. If you wish to add a tag to a private task, you will see your private tag pool. However, if you tag a project task, you will see the project task tag pool visible to all users.
Edit existing tags
Your existing tags can be edited, and the name and color can be changed so that all objects tagged with this tag will get these changes as well.
Go to the corresponding tag window and select the tag from the pool so that it appears above the input field. Now you will find the small pencil icon in the tag. Clicking on it will open a window for editing the tag.
