Can I tag users in tasks or projects?
Create new Tasks
There are different ways to create a task in awork. You can do it via "My Tasks" or within a project.
Create a new Task
Just click the "+" button in the "My Tasks" view.
You can set the following fields:
- Name of the task
- Assign the task to a project
- Assign the task to a user
- Set deadline
- Set type of work
- Save task
- Close window (slide down)
Tasks that are created without a project are shown in the private task list in "My Tasks". They can be assigned to a project at any time. (Private tasks are only visible for the assigned user, be careful with assigning to project, because the task will get visible for more users.)
Set Task Details
You can either search for the project (1) or scroll through the list of all active projects (2). If the project does not exist yet, you can create one (3). To close the window, tap the "x" (4) button.
You can either search for a user (1) or scroll through the list of users (2). If the person you want to assign is not yet part of your workspace, you can invite the user (3) from this screen. To close the window, tap the "x" (4) button.
Set a Deadline
The first screen gives you the option to select a date (1) or select a preset timeframe (2). You can swipe left and right through the different months or close the window via the "x" (3) button.
Now you can select (scroll) a time or select a preset (2)
Edit Tasks within Lists
Create task list
You can create a new task list within the app if you go to the details page of a project. Just tap "Manage Task Lists" and select "Add new list". Now type the name and press done. The list is now ready and you can create task within the list.
Set Task Status
The task overview shows all the tasks where the user is the assignee. The tasks are shown within lists. The first list is always the private tasks (1). These are tasks which are not connected to a project. Right below there are more lists for each project (2) that contains tasks assigned to you. Tapping the project name will forward you to the project details.
Tapping the name of the task (3) opens the task details. You can see the deadline (4) of each task directly in the list. If you swipe to the left (5) there are options to change the assignee, change the deadline or start a timer. The bubble on the left (6) gives you the option to change the task status or mark a task done.
If you want to create a new task, just tap the "+" (7) button.
You have the following options:
- Edit task name
- Edit task description
- Change type of work
